Large nipples can occur naturally or as a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding, being overweight or gynaecomastia. They can be reduced in size by removing a portion usually from the lower part of the nipple which leaves a small scar at the lower edge of the nipple.
Some people may be unhappy with the size of their nipples or their asymmetrical aspect. The decision for surgery is often a cosmetic choice, however, if your nipples are causing discomfort then surgery may be a clear option.
